~What is an Elevator Pitch?~

Image
What is an elevator pitch: A persuasive pitch An elevator pitch is when you're giving a persuasive reason to sell a product, idea or projects and why it is worth investing in. First Video: Explain who you are give some background information Give some context of where you go Make some type of connection with the person you are talking to Make it right away About how you love their company Ask the person you are pitching to become your mentor Kill them with kindness   Close it out kindly Second Video: It should be short and to the point Be prepared on what you are going to say Practice numerous times Try not to sound non professional You dont want to give the person the wrong idea Third Video: Know who your talking to Make sure it is short and consistent What can I do to the person I am speaking with BE motivated with passion and be enthusiastic Ask the other person when you can make an appointment about their situation

PB2A

An academic interest that I'm looking into is Engineering and Design. I looked into two professors and they are  Masataka Okutsu , and  Marcus Besser . Some things that I would like to research is how to make legos. Growing up I loved building and creating new figures such as houses, cars, and helicopters.  If I were to study in this field  and research  more with one professor it would probably  be Masataka Okutsu, he is my professor right now in Engineering and Design and I also know him on a more personal level. In class we are using this 3D design software called AutoCAD which helps you create any 2D or 3D creation you can think of. Later on if you have a 3D printer you could code it to the printer and print the creation you want to make.  Would AutoCAD be the best way to create and generate lego bricks? What other ways could we make the bricks? 3D printing takes a lot of time and legos have many different shapes and sizes, would we create more than one brick or stick to

PB 1B: ~ Genre Generators ~

Image
Have you ever been so bored that you just start counting your hairs..? Nope, so that's just me huh? Well in this day and age we are very lucky to have the internet and with in the internet there are things called generators. For example, if you're ever bored and want to find a netflix show to watch because you basically know every single line to “The Office”just google ‘Netflix Generator”. Then you would simply answer the questions that they ask you “What genre are you looking for?” “Movie or Tv show?” you get the point. There are an infinite amount of “genre generators” on the internet. You need a dog name? No problem there's one for that. Are you a girl and your mans is a very die hard Eagles fan and you need a NFL team to like to make him mad…? LOOK NO MORE THERE'S ONE FOR THAT TOO! I have done some research and have found many different generators on the web. The very first generator I used was the “ Meme Generator ” if you don’t know what memes are they are picture

PB 1A: ~ Billboards ~

The genre I have chosen for this project builder is billboards due to the fact that many of us who drive almost anywhere we go we tend to see billboards. Most of the billboards are to advertise a certain product. There are a variety of billboards for different products such as cars, beer, dealerships, lottery tickets, etc. This example of a beer billboard… This billboard is usually on I-95 when driving towards south Philly because it is on the way towards the Philadelphia Eagles stadium (Lincoln Financial Field). This is advertising the official beer sponsor of the Philadelphia Eagles which everyone who is 21 or older would tend to react and be like “Oh they support the birds, I’ll go buy a case and watch the game too!” The purpose of this specific billboard is to catch the drivers eye and have them go to the nearest beer distributor and buy some. Another purpose of the billboard is so that people who tend to like Miller Lite but have no idea who the Philadelphia Eagl

~ How I annotate and why is it important? ~

A lot of people tend to annotate in various different ways. The way I annotate may be completely different than how my 4th grade teacher annotates. (Mrs. Cherry if you somehow find this I just wanted to say I love you!) Here are the different ways i annotate.... Summarize what the author says in MY OWN word (makes sense to me ) write down definitions and words I may not understand. I highlight a lot but... on the Elbow passage I highlighted many characteristics about the two types of thinking. On the top of the page I write down things that the author groups from other pages or paragraphs.  When i draw the fancy brackets { } I tend to use them when I summarize a paragraph. Whenever I have a question I write it down and draw a nice big "?" next to it.  I've learned that there is no wrong way to annotate a text, as long as it makes sense to you and you fully understand what you're writing down there is no wrong answer. For example, when Sarah and I talked abou
